Featured recipe:
Roasted Chicken with Rosemary
This is like a roast, only it uses chicken instead of beef. The rosemary gives it a sweet taste and blends well with the garlic, butter and parsley.

Meet This Month’s Cookbook Connoisseur…
Jean Weber!
Jean Weber (New Berlin, Wisconsin) was a Taste of Home cookbook fan long before she came to work in our Creative Marketing Department.
As a subscriber, she and her husband looked forward to each new issue of Taste of Home. Jean explains, “We cut recipes, marked pages, etc. So when they came out with the first Taste of Home Annual Recipes cookbook, I was thrilled and bought one every year after that.”
Because she downsized last year, Jean now has “only” around 200 cookbooks. A five-shelf bookcase in her kitchen is devoted to—and packed with—cookbooks. The “overflow” trickles onto the den shelves and even more to the coffee table.
That makes sense because Jean loves reading cookbooks for the recipes, of course…but for something more, too. She says, “I enjoy stories about where the recipe came from as well as how people liked them. And then too, there's nothing like sitting back on a snowy winter day and browsing through cookbooks—whether I'm looking for a recipe or not. It's a comfort thing for me.”
Because Jean likes so many cookbooks, her favorite is one she put together herself. After she tries recipes that become a big hit with her family, she enters them in a blank recipe book. She also includes who she served it to, and comments like "very filling," or "leave out the raisins.” According to Jean, “This is what I turn to first when I need a quick sure thing.”
Now that Jean designs Taste of Home cookbook promotions for a living, she has access to thousands of delicious home-style recipes.
"If I had to pick a favorite recipe, it would be a toss-up between Artichoke Chicken Pizza and Beef and Spinach Lasagna. These are my family’s #1 most requested dishes…and both are simply divine!”
