Spirits of the West
Dear ##firstname[Friend]##,

On a cold day in autumn, photographer Carol Polich explored the dusty, deserted streets of Bannack, Montana—one of the best-preserved ghost towns in the West. As she ventured from building to building, she wondered if the ghosts were asleep on such a chilly day.
Reading Carol’s story got us thinking about our favorite abandoned towns. We’ve put together a slideshow featuring Country’s picks for spookiest ghost town. We can’t say for sure if ghosts haunt these towns, but the spirit of the Old West certainly does.
