Nothing beats being a kid in the country, as you’ll see in Janet Baird’s story “Meet the Awesome Possums,” in the September issue of Country Extra. Janet’s grandchildren and their cousins formed their own outdoor club called the Awesome Possums. Every Wednesday the kids meet at the family ranch for a day of outdoor fun, riding bikes, gathering eggs in the chicken coop and picking veggies in the garden. Reading Janet’s story will make you want to be a kid again.
