Active grandma Marilyn VanScyoc’s potato salad is legendary at potluck dinners she hosts at the lakeside vacation trailer she and her husband, George, own. “I also make it for seniors I cook for as a private-duty nurse,” she added. “Even finicky eaters like the contrasting flavors of bacon, pickles and tangy dressing.

“I can easily put it together and leave it to chill while I go swimming with our grandkids,” she said.
