Get to Know...
Jo-Anne Toccket!
Meet this month’s Cookbook Connoisseur, Jo-Anne Toccket of Sunbury, Pennsylvania. She has about 350 titles in her collection that she stores in her kitchen.
“My husband built floor-to-ceiling bookshelves to hold my most-used books,” she shares. “I also have an entire closet full at my mother’s house.
For Jo-Anne, a love of cookbooks started early on. “I was teenager when I began my collection,” she writes. “My mother always loved cooking and reading recipes...she still does. Collecting cookbooks is something we continue to share.”
Jo-Anne likes to purchase cookbooks when on vacation as unique souvenirs, giving her collection a unique flair. “I particularly enjoy books with simple recipes, few ingredients and nutritious results,” she adds.
“One of my favorite titles is The Taste of Home Family Collection Cookbook. “I turn to the recipe for Hot Kielbasa Dip regularly since it combines two of my favorite foods—kielbasa and cream cheese! Try it and see for yourself!”
