Dear ##firstname[Friend]##,

Did I ever tell you about the time I pulled my finished turkey out of the oven and didn't quite set the pan solidly on the countertop? Yup, you guessed it. The roasting pan teetered precariously. I grabbed it with hot pads just in time to keep the pan from flipping, but not quickly enough to keep the turkey from flying onto the floor and skittering across the tiles.
Sigh. The rest of the meal was great, though. I always cook the stuffing/dressing on the side, so we were good to go. There are three great stuffing recipes in the November issue of Taste of Home for your holiday feast. My favorite: Sage Sausage Dressing. Love the Spiced Pumpkin Pie, too.
As soon as Thanksgiving is a pleasant memory, you might want to focus on the December holiday season. In fact, our December/January issue offers up plenty of gifts from the kitchen that you can start making right now. One that I make every year is the ultra-easy Saltine Toffee Bark. The Macadamia & Coconut Caramels are so good, I might make them for myself. Same with the Chai Tea Mix. My goal is to get better about sharing this year!
But we don't just give you the recipes for these homemade goodies, we also provide step-by-step instructions on how to wrap them up creatively. There are lots of colorful and merry ideas in the December/January issue of Taste of Home.
Happy Holidays!
