For kids, nothing's more fun to eat on a hot summer's day than a cold, frothy ice cream float. And if they can make it themselves, even better. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy the yummy drinks in the June/July issue (p. 56) that our test kitchen concocted. Summertime TeaThese easy treats bring back memories of my family's ritual Sunday drives. We didn't have an air-conditioned car when I was a kid, so we rode through the countryside or along Lake Michigan (if it was really hot) with the windows rolled down. And often, we stopped for ice cream on the way home. Yum!

You'll find more chilling beverages, this time for grown-ups, in the new August/September issue. Perfect for poolside parties, you can team them up with some crunchy munchies or one of the zippy salsas from the "salsa fairy."
