From the Editor
Dear $$firstname$$,
GREETINGS from the Taste of Home staff.
I’d like to personally welcome you to our online community. As a Taste of Home subscriber, you're entitled to receive this exclusive subscriber-only newsletter each month, free with your magazine subscription. Using the links in the newsletter is the easiest way to enjoy all your Taste of Home Plus online benefits. In each monthly Plus newsletter, you'll find bonus features, recipes, photos, expert advice and "insider information" to supplement your current magazine issue. It's our way of saying "Thanks for being a loyal subscriber!"
Comfort and Joy…what a fitting theme for your festive December/January magazine! It’s in the mail now and should be arriving soon. I’ve already flagged more than a dozen recipes to "try first," including the beautiful and easy Elegant Eggnog Dessert (p. 20) and Walnut Horn Cookies (p. 6). "Comfort and Joy" never tasted better!
Speaking of comfort, you’ll notice a few changes to the magazine that make it even more inviting:
- There’s no hidden toothpick—this time it’s a Christmas bulb that’s "lost." See p. 65 for details of our new "Hide & Seek" contest and the great prizes you might win.
- You’ll see a little camera icon by the name of some recipes. It indicates that the food is not pictured in the magazine, but you can see the photo on the Taste of Home Plus website. This gives us room to show you many of the most eye-catching and mouth-watering dishes up-close (like the Prime Rib Dinner, p. 16, and Fiesta Lasagna, p. 48) in the magazine.
- Another change you’ll be seeing is some ads in Taste of Home. Please take a moment to read Editor in Chief Catherine Cassidy’s thoughts on "why advertising?" in Table Talk on page 4. As she notes, this change will help us continue to bring you a magazine showcasing great recipes from the more than 3 million cooks who read Taste of Home.
As always, you’ll find bonus features and subscriber-only recipes on the Taste of Home Plus website, including All-Time Favorite Christmas Cookies and glorious holiday dinner menus perfect for entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining, the Dec/Jan issue of Country Woman (our "sister" magazine) features winning recipes from the Santa’s Favorite’s Cookies contest. Visit countrywomanmagazine.com for the top picks plus tips for hosting a friendly cookie exchange.
