Wouldn’t it be fun to help judge the baked goods or other food entries at a county or state fair? That question popped into my head as I was proofreading the Blue Ribbon Recipes feature in your Aug/Sept magazine. It’s in the mail now—you may have already received it and tried one of the award-winning recipes that readers shared.
As a special bonus, we have more Blue-Ribbon Recipes for you at the Taste of Home Plus website. Let your family or friends be the judges as you prepare some of them!
Speaking of winners, local recipe contests were part of the fun when Editor in Chief Catherine Cassidy visited bookstores nationwide to launch our big new Taste of Home Cookbook. Catherine invited cooks in each area to bring in their best recipes for a friendly, informal competition. Tasting all these goodies—and personally meeting the contestants—was a highlight of her travels! The top five prize-winners are in your August/September magazine…and you’ll find 20 more On the Road Contest Winners at Taste of Home Plus.
As always, we’ve included plenty more subscriber-only bonus recipes and features there, including Tasty Tailgating recipes and tips, extra appetizers and snacks and some yummy chocolate treats.
You’ll also tour a kitchen that was once a snowmobile shop and enjoy a Meal in Minutes menu perfect for busy summer days. All of this is our way of saying “Thanks for being a loyal subscriber!”
