Start shucking that sweet corn and slicing that zucchini. The garden’s overflowing with good stuff, and these are the recipes to put it to use.

Dear NAME_FIRST,

We love September for so many reasons—it kicks off with sweet corn and backyard barbecues in the sunshine, and closes out with cozy sweaters and comfy, spiced-up dishes to welcome fall. And the current issues of Taste of Home and Simple & Delicious serve up the tastiest of this best-of-it-all month that gives us a little bit of everything delicious.

Things like BLT pizzas and garden-fresh stuffed peppers happily mingle with caramel cheesecake and the best-ever grilled cheese sandwich you’ve ever had (seriously, you gotta try it). We’ve got secret-ingredient flapjacks for lazy mornings, plus game-day dips and cheesy weeknight casseroles that make busy days a breeze. They all come from the best home cooks across the country, and we hope you fall for every bite.

Here’s to a new season to savor,

My Favorite Recipes to Make in September
Summer Potluck Recipe Contest

We’re throwing a backyard bash, and we want your incredible recipes to make it the most delicious get-together of the summer. Shine on with apps like roasted sweet corn hummus, strawberry balsamic bruschetta and minty melon skewers. Call everyone ’round for mains like soy-glazed short ribs, steak tacos with radish avocado salsa and grilled Caprese sandwiches. It’s salad season, too, so show off the mojito fruit salad, dilly triple potato salad or ginger watermelon salad your crew goes wild for. And it wouldn’t be a party without dessert. Bring on the berry pie bars and Key lime icebox cake—we’re sure you’ll be the most popular pal at the party. If your easy summer recipe feeds a crowd and is about 12 ingredients or less, send it our way by September 28th.
