Taste of Home Simple and Delicious Magazine
Dear NAME_FIRST,
December really is main event of the cooking year. We always bring our best to weeknight dinners and Sunday brunches, but the holiday season is showtime—when we throw on our aprons and pull out all the stops with a parade of celebratory recipes from appetizers to dessert. And I’ve gotta say, with all the ovation-worthy recipes in the current issues of Taste of Home and Simple & Delicious magazines, boy, do home cooks ever deserve to take a bow.

If your month is anything like mine, it’s already packed with parties, potlucks and family outings. I like to mix it up and bring a little something new to each gathering, whether it’s a fresh cranberry salsa to an open house, a new twist on potatoes to Grandma’s or a platter of classic frosted sugar cookies to a friendly neighbor. Of course, there’s always room for the classics, and this year I’m really celebrating a stunning roast ham and the most pillowy, flaky crescent rolls to ever grace a bread basket. Trust me, you’ll never go back to the tube after trying these buttery babies.

No matter where you’re headed this month, I hope you’re surrounded by love, happiness and all the comforting food that makes this time of year the most wonderful of all.

Wishing you the happiest holidays,

Emily Tyra, Editor
