Nestlé Toll House Chocolate
Chip Pie
The
sweet, creamy richness of a brown sugar base makes this chocolate
chip pie a perfect
foil for chopped nuts and whipped or ice cream. And best
of all, it's as easy as, well, it's as easy as
pie!
Estimated Times:
Preparation - 15 min | Cooking - 55 min | Yields - 8
1 9-inch
unbaked pie shell, (4-cup volume) deep-dish *
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate
Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
1 sweetened whipped cream (optional)
PREHEAT
oven to 325° F. BEAT eggs in large mixer bowl on high
speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown
sugar. Beat in
butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell. BAKE
for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between
edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Top with
whipped cream.
* If using
frozen pie shell, use deep-dish style, thawed completely.
Bake on baking sheet; increase baking time slightly.

Spookilicious
Mud Bars for Halloween
They're
Scary Good!
Halloween
is full of surprises. But you can count on
chewy, chocolate-filled, chocolate-topped Mud
Bars to make all the
ghosts and ghouls happy every time. And with a recipe this
easy to make, there's really no trick to these treats!
Estimated Times:
Preparation - 10 min | Cooking - 20 min | Cooling
Time - 10 min refrigerating | Yields - 36 bars
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, divided
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
PREHEAT
oven to 375° F. Grease
9-inch-square baking pan. COMBINE flour, baking
soda and salt in small bowl. Beat sugar, butter
and vanilla extract in large
mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in egg; gradually
beat in flour mixture. Stir in 1 1/4 cups morsels
and nuts. Spread into prepared baking pan. BAKE
for 20 to 23 minutes. Remove pan to wire rack.
Sprinkle with remaining morsels. Let stand for
5 minutes or until morsels are shiny; spread evenly.
Cool in pan on wire rack; refrigerate for 5 to
10 minutes or until chocolate is set.
