"Dish Up" Cleaning Ideas
WHETHER you
wash by hand or in an automatic dishwasher, these dish
washing tips will give you great results.
Hand-Washing Hints.
There are
two main methods for hand-washing dishes:
> Squirt
a dollop of Palmolive(R) Dish Liquid into a sink before
or during the process of filling it with water. Then clean
the dishes using a sponge, brush, scrubbing pad or
dishcloth. Next, rinse dishes under clean running water.
This is best for washing a lot of items efficiently.
> Squirt
some Palmolive(R) directly onto the dish and wash it using a
sponge, brush, scrubbing pad or dishcloth; or squirt
Palmolive(R) Dish Liquid directly onto a sponge, brush,
scrubbing pad or dishcloth and use this to wash dishes. This
method is a better choice for washing few or single items.
Automatic Dishwasher Tips.
To have your
dishes sparkle, the experts at Palmolive say there are
several procedures you should follow:
> For
best cleaning results, the water must be hot. Ideally, the
temperature should be between 120 and 140 degrees
Fahrenheit. Before starting the dishwasher, run the faucet
in your kitchen sink for a moment until the water is hot.
> Water
and detergent must be able to easily reach dishes in order
for dishwashers to clean properly. Items should be loaded
according to size, with large items toward the back and
smaller items in the front, which helps to disperse the
detergent evenly. Place the most heavily soiled side of each
dish toward the water spray.
>
Be sure to use a detergent designed specifically for
automatic dishwashers, such as any Palmolive(R) Dishwasher Detergent. Using any other type of soap, such as
hand dishwashing liquid, could result in overfoaming and
possible damage to the dishwasher. |
