WHO WILL BE CROWNED? Get the Vote for your MRS. HOLIDAY Entry
One Month Left to Get out the Votes

We have one month left in our Search for Mrs. Holiday. The auditions are coming in faster than ever, and they are wonderful. Thanks to all of you for submitting your video entry to Taste of Home’s Search for Mrs. Holiday! It’s been such a pleasure to watch your videos and see your fantastic recipes.

As you know, Mrs. Holiday will be selected from the top 100 videos that receive the greatest number of votes from the public. And now voting becomes more important with voting ending on September 7th. People can vote for your entry once a day to ensure that you are among the 100 finalists. Encourage all your family and friends to come to Facebook.com/TasteofHome to like the page and then vote each and every day.

Local Media Can Help You Become Mrs. Holiday

Another way to garner votes is outreach to your local media to let them know you are in the running to become the first-ever Taste of Home’s Mrs. Holiday. It's a great way to let more people know to vote for you. We have made the outreach to your local media easy.

We have retained a public relations agency, Middleberg PR, to contact local media on your behalf. All you need to do to take advantage of this free service is to contact:

Anne Keller
akeller@middlebergcommunications.com
212-812-5680

Here’s how you can help the process along.

Let Us Know Your Favorite Local Media. When you contact Anne (preferably by email), let her know which local media are your favorites, and she’ll start the media outreach with those local newspapers, TV and radio stations to let them know you are in the running to be named Mrs. Holiday.

Participate in Interviews. When Middleberg confirms that a reporter wants to interview you, or a local TV or radio show invites you to be a guest, go for it! Take full advantage of the opportunity. Once crowned, Mrs. Holiday will make regular media appearances, so it’s a great opportunity to prove you have what it takes to conduct a great media interview!

Preparing for Your Interview. Before you will be interviewed, gather your thoughts. What are the important facts you want people to know about you that will compel them to vote for you. Don't forget to make sure the reporter has either asked you about how people can vote, or you have given them the information (Facebook.com/TasteofHome, click on the purple app and search for your name). Middleberg will be working with the media outlet to set the scene for your appearance, and will be glad to talk to you before your interview to be sure you are prepared to be awesome.

Share Your Media Appearances. Once your media story is out, let everyone know about it to further demonstrate why you would make a great Mrs. Holiday. Post it on Facebook.com/TasteofHome, your blog, your Facebook page or tweet it out.
