Apple Crumble

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8x8x2-inch-baking dish. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, salt and spices. With pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into sugar mixture until crumbly. Spread apples over bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle sugar mixture over apples; pat down lightly. Bake 50 to 60 minutes until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
