Dear ##firstname[Friend]##,
##\keycode.IntroCopyContentHTML####\keycode.DonorContentGiftSubHTML##
As each new issue of S&D goes out the door, I find myself doing the same thing: I say a little prayer and hope we've done everything right, then wait for your letters telling us what you think. I don't have kids, but this process seems a little like sending them off into the world for a fresh school year. You try to prepare them for what they'll encounter, worry about what may come up, hope you've done everything right and pray that all goes well.
We can't guarantee that you'll worry less about your kids or that you won't have to scramble to get them to school, but this year, we hope our easy lunch tips and quick dinners will make meal planning less stressful.
Speaking of letters, have you seen our August/September issue? We've already received some great comments on the jams on p. 56. There's no time like the present to preserve garden extras with some easy canning recipes. Be sure to check out our Top 10 favorites, then tell us what you think at simple@tasteofhome.com. Until next time, happy cooking, and have a great month!
—Mary
