With summer in full swing, there’s always so much to do. Have you found some time to relax? Every summer, I enjoy taking it easy with friends at one of the great festivals in Milwaukee. I’ve lived in several different cities and attended more than a few state fairs and festivals over the years. One of my favorite festival foods is corn on the cob, hot off the grill.  Drenched in butter with a sprinkle of salt, it may be messy, but it’s always delicious! But, you don’t have to travel to a summer festival to enjoy the mouth-watering taste of fresh corn on the cob. This month, we share some easy yet flavorful recipes you can prepare in no time at home.

If you’re looking for some sweet ways to chill down hot summer days, you’ll love the ice cream sandwich feature in our July/August issue. Tips for packing the pooler

  • Chill beverages before placing them in the cooler to slow ice melting.
  • Make sure chilled foods are transferred directly from the refrigerator to the cooler.
  • Freeze water bottles before adding them to the cooler. They’ll chill other foods while they melt.
  • Use a separate cooler if you need to keep items hot. Layer the cooler with towels, then wrap your hot dish in towels before placing it in the cooler. This eliminates open space and will help keep your food warm.
