Dear $$firstname$$,

from the editor
Thank you for subscribing to Taste of Home’s Simple & Delicious! As an added bonus, you automatically receive the Simple & Delicious Plus newsletter, filled with additional tips and recipes you won’t find in the magazine.
With summer in full swing, there’s always so much to do. Have you found some time to relax? Every summer, I enjoy taking it easy with friends at one of the great festivals in Milwaukee. I’ve lived in several different cities and attended more than a few state fairs and festivals over the years. One of my favorite festival foods is corn on the cob, hot off the grill. Drenched in butter with a sprinkle of salt, it may be messy, but it’s always delicious! But, you don’t have to travel to a summer festival to enjoy the mouth-watering taste of fresh corn on the cob. This month, we share some easy yet flavorful recipes you can prepare in no time at home.
If you’re looking for some sweet ways to chill down hot summer days, you’ll love the ice cream sandwich feature in our July/August issue. And don’t forget to try our bonus recipes, Peanut Butter Chip Ice Cream and Strawberry Sherbet, or the fun and tasty ways to use ice cream in this month’s newsletter.
On warm summer days, there’s no better time to load up your picnic basket or cooler and head off in search of adventure! Check out the tips below for some simple hints on packing a cooler.
And, if you’re looking to spend a little less time in the kitchen, you’ll love the quick recipes that require only 5 or fewer ingredients. To search for more 5-ingredient recipes, check out the Advanced Search feature of the Recipe Finder. It’s as simple as selecting a box under the "Number of Ingredients" option.
We’re working hard on your September/October issue of Simple & Delicious. We’re hoping it’ll make the back-to-school season a little easier with our “Let’s Do Lunch” contest-winning recipes, breakfast-on-the-go ideas and hints for planning your own cooking exchange with freezer meals.
