Dear ##firstname[Friend]##,

Is your sweet tooth gaining strength as the years pass? Mine was passed down to me by a long line of chocolate-lovers on my mom’s side, and it’s been prolific lately. There’s no having one chocolate kiss—six will do nicely and a baker’s dozen is best.

That’s why my mouth was watering when I first read our featured story this month about candy kisses. Hmmm…my stomach just grumbled something about being neglected, and did I hear a whisper from that candy bar on the counter?

Anyway, go ahead and nab your own snack, and consider passing our newsletter along to a friend or family member who may occasionally enjoy living in the past. If you’ve received this from someone, go ahead and sign up yourself.

Stirring Up Memories

Mocha Fondue
Mocha Fondue

Kathe Campbell, who hails from Butte, Montana, and is our featured writer this month, talks about the importance of chocolate for Cupid’s favorite time of year:

Memories of chocolates and surprises beset my every thought as Valentine's Day drew near in the early 1940s. Mother always said that there are chocolates, and then there are chocolates, meaning that few varieties could be considered the Rolls Royce of good candy. Click here to read more.
