Have you ever looked at a recipe on Pinterest and thought, “That would be perfect in the air fryer!”? Here’s your motivation to perfect that idea and submit it. Hint, hint: A method change counts when creating an original recipe using another recipe for inspiration. Check the official rules for specifics. Update: Recipe Review Contest As most of you know, there are some issues on the site with the recipe review process. Sometimes reviews go through, sometimes they don’t. The team is working to sort it out, but I have some hints for you. First, type up your reviews in a Word doc or another document program. Then, when you’re ready to submit the review, you can just copy and paste it onto the site. Once you publish, if you get a message telling you the review will appear in 24 hours, you should be OK. If not, there’s a solid chance the review won’t show up. Incredibly frustrating for you, I know. It is for us too, and I really appreciate your patience while they sort it all out. In the essence of fairness, I’m extending the end date through September 7th. I’ll announce the winner September 15th. You can find the recipes and rules in last month’s newsletter. Recipe Contest Alert! The Everyday Fresh Contest started August 1st. If you’re up to your eyeballs in garden-fresh produce, this contest is for you. Any course goes, from breakfast through dessert, but you’re limited to 10 ingredients. These should be fast, weeknight-ready (or easy morning) recipes. Maybe you’ve created a farmers market skillet sensation, overflowing with vegetables, or a grilled tomato galette with fresh tarragon. If our weather ever cools off, a roasted vegetable soup might be nice. So many options! Message me if you need inspiration. This contest ends November 27th, which seems like a really long way away, right? We can’t possibly be talking about November already. Last call for the Summer-Fruit Dessert and Summer Potluck contests. Those will finish up at the end of September, which will be here before we know it. Think berries, kiwi, pineapple, citrus and cherries. Bright flavors, fresh and colorful ingredients. Be sure to check the official rules on Taste of Home’s website. Happy cooking, my friends! Sue Stetzel PS: I’m generally in the office 9am to 5pm EST during the week, and I’ll do my best to respond to any messages during that time. |
