Meet Michele Tungett!
"I've been enjoying Taste of Home since I graduated from college and my dad bought me my very first subscription. Through bookstores, yard sales and online, I've actually been able to find almost every copy of Taste of Home magazine ever printed! I really enjoy talking about the magazine to others and sharing recipes with my Facebook friends.
Food is a big deal in my house and I think it's important for my kids to know that cooking is enjoyable and not a chore—they see how much my husband and I love to cook and often ask to help make dinner or bake cookies. As a matter of fact, I'm a big fan of baking from scratch and best known for my prize-winning chocolate chip cookies. They never stick around for long at potlucks and bake sales.
My best advice to those new at cooking is to grab an issue of Taste of Home and just start cooking. This is really how I learned to cook. I think so many people don't cook because they're afraid of failing or making a bad dish. But, that's all a part of the learning process and, as they say, practice makes perfect."
