Hi, Field Editors!

I wanted to send out a big “thank you” to everyone who submitted recipes we asked for this past month. Your recipes are critical to the Field Editor program and help make Taste of Home great. To find out what recipes we are looking for this month, check out the Get Cookin’ section below, get creative in your kitchens and send them on in!

Friendly reminders:

There are only a couple of weeks left to win $2000 in the Canning and Preserving Contest. Be sure to submit your recipes by August 23rd. You could be the big winner!

Did you get the Field Editor Guidelines? They came in an email with the subject line: Field Editor Special Alert. Remember to click “accept” at the bottom of the email by August 6 to stay active in the program.

If you have a recipe that doesn’t fit any of the topics we’ve called for in this newsletter, feel free to submit them at www.tasteofhome.com/submit.
In fact, you should bookmark that link since we can only accept recipes you submit through our online system.

Say hi to Sue Stetzel! Sue’s been a dedicated Field Editor for a number of years, and also helps out as the community/forums moderator for Taste of Home. Sue’s a great resource for you. And since rating and reviewing Taste of Home recipes is an important aspect of our Field Editor program, she wanted to share some tips below!

“Being able to contribute my own love of food is just an absolute joy and I love to review recipes on the website. So what works well? I try to personalize my comments like, ‘My son LOVED this, gave it two thumbs up!’ I’ll also give any hints or tips that I think will be helpful to the community such as, ‘Be careful not to over bake this.’ “

So get out there and make and rate some recipes!
