Happy Holidays, Field Editors.

We have a couple of fun projects for you during the get-together season.

1) We’re hungry for holiday appetizers. Have any incredible shortcut appetizers, festive dips or slow-cooker snacks that you make? Maybe a surprising thing you wrap in bacon? Send in your recipes to tasteofhome.com/submit. Put "Holiday Appetizer" in the description/notes box and please include some details on why your recipe is a hit (or add a tip for other readers).

Here’s a peek at one of our favorite little bites in the December/January issue, Mushroom Palmiers from Judy Lock of Panhandle, Texas. Puff pastry makes these soooo easy. They freeze well, too.

2) We’d love to hear about your mom. Can you take a moment when the family is around at the holidays to think about her most comfy-cozy “Mom” dishes. We want to know what makes her and her kitchen tick. Is she hilarious? Is she kind beyond words? Please submit recipes at tasteofhome.com/submit and to put some notes about Mom and the words “Mom’s Best” in the description/notes box.

3) Hard to believe, but we’re really kicking off our 20th year in a couple of months. We’re planning the birthday issue as we speak and need your input. Do you have a hands-down, all-time favorite Taste of Home recipe? Got a story about how it touched your life or made its way into your family recipe box? Let us know which recipe right away at emily_tyra@rd.com. Please put "20 Years of Taste" in the subject line.
