Happy summer, Field Editors!

Hope you've had a chance to try out some of the recipes from the June/July issue of Taste of Home. My favorite recipe? The Grilled Huli-Huli Chicken on page 20. What recipe(s) have you tried from the issue? How'd they turn out?

By the way, if you're making the 4th of July Red, White & Blueberry Poke Cake (and you should because it's awesome), be sure to poke only about 1/2 inch into the cake before you pour the gelatin on top. If you poke all the way through to the bottom of the cake, you might have trouble removing the cake from the pan.

CALLING ALL MOMS!

We are looking for Field Editors to try out Johnsonville Italian Sausage for feedback that might be featured in our October/November 2012 issue.

A full-page advertorial will celebrate moms and their creativity in the kitchen. (For example: How to turn ordinary meals into something exciting/flavorful, such as swapping in Johnsonville Italian Sausage for ground beef to make a zesty lasagna. We would love you to share your tips, recipes, suggestions for using sausage in the kitchen—especially if it helps make your life easier during hectic week nights!

And don't worry about cost, you will be provided with a gift card to cover the purchase of the product.

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please contact Betsy Connors in our Marketing Department at Betsy_Connors@readersdigest.com or 646.293.1651 for details. She’s looking forward to hearing from you!

WHAT’S COOKING?

Great summer days go hand-in-hand with easy-to-cook meals. We would love to hear what you’ve got cooking this season.

So, think summer! Send us your best recipes that get you out of the kitchen and into the great outdoors. We’re looking for almost fuss-free dishes—everything from main dish salads to easy one-skillet dinners to cool desserts that take the edge off the heat. Or do you have a great slow cooker summer dinner? Anything that takes less effort and gives you and your family more time to connect to nature. Submit your recipes at Tasteofhome.com/submit. Be sure to include some details on why your recipe is a hit (or add a tip for other readers).

We're also looking for great ideas for summer fruit...from salads to desserts to drinks and sauces.

And we sure could use great recipes using fresh herbs in a big way. Whatcha got?

We also need your shortcuts and hints! What do you do to cut corners and speed up cooking, but still end up with a great meal? How do you keep ants away from the picnic table? What makes your summer dinner table spectacular? Send your tips and tricks to fieldeditors@tasteofhome.com.

Thanks so much for helping out.
