Hello, Spring!

I may be rushing the season a bit, but with the mild winter we’ve experienced, it feels like spring is just around the corner. And I’m looking forward to shifting from comfy-cozy slow-cooker specials to fresh and fun meals.

However, if you could stay in the comfy-cozy zone with me for a minute, we’re starting to plan for our NEXT winter issues (October, November, December, January, February) and have a few stories in the works that could use your help.

1. Slow-Cooker Sensations: Send us some of your favorite hearty recipes that work in the slow cooker. You know the drill: Email them to fieldeditors@tasteofhome with Slow-Cooker in the subject line.

2. How about some fun Halloween ideas/recipes? Any spooky foods you like to serve for dinner or at a Halloween party? Think snacks and dessert and main dishes if you’ve got ’em. Email them to fieldeditors@tasteofhome with Halloween in the subject line.

3. Holiday Appetizers: Think November and December holiday gatherings. What festive snacks do you serve? Email them to fieldeditors@tasteofhome with Holiday Apps in the subject line.

4. Quick Fix Holiday Sides: ’Tis the season to enjoy friends and family, rather than hang out in the kitchen. So please send us those side dishes that can be finished in 10 to 20 minutes. Aim for 5 ingredients or less. Email them to fieldeditors@tasteofhome with Quick Fix Sides in the subject line.

And, of course, anytime you want to drop me a note about story ideas, send them my way.
