Hello Field Editors,

True confession time: I am a bake-aholic. Love baking. Love eating homemade cookies, cakes, pies, brownies. (When my daughter wore braces, I used my pies to barter with the orthodontist on my bill. I baked him a different pie every month for 2 years . . . and he knocked off $25 per visit from his fee. And I still love making pie.)

Tell us your baking stories and secrets. We’ve got two sweet stories coming up: One is about Bake Sale treats for our late summer/early fall magazine. The other is a big cookie story for the November and December holidays (Yes, we’re working on November 2012 already).

We truly need your help. Send us your irresistible treats that could be quickly snapped up at bake sales: pies, quick breads, cakes, cookies, candies and more. Email them to: fieldeditors@tasteofhome with BAKE SALE in the subject line.

And please, oh please, send us recipes for cookies and brownies and bars and shortbreads for the holidays. Even though the big winter holidays are over, we want to revisit them.

We also want to focus on those that freeze easily, whether you freeze the dough and bake just before Christmas—or whether you bake the goodies and store them in the freezer a month or two in advance. Tell us if you have great freezing or storing ideas.
