STATE FAIRS Taste of Home and state fairs seem to go hand in hand, don’t they? Well, we’d love to be able to promote Taste of Home at state fairs around the country. So this summer, we’ll be collecting information in hopes of launching a program next year. That’s where you come in. If you’ve been involved in your state fair and can share information about the annual event, we’d like to hear from you. Please tell us: FIELD EDITOR FUN Have you held a class, appeared on local television, spoke at an event or promoted Taste of Home some other way in your community? Please let us know about it! * On May 15, Julie Butler of Puyallup, Washington appeared on Seattle’s PBS television station, KCTS. Julie and a dozen or so other cooks were selected from 300 entrants to each prepare a recipe on “KCTS Channel 9 Cooks Light & Healthy,” one of the station’s pledge drive programs. A local chef assisted Julie in making her one-pot meal, Italian Fish Soup. COOKS WHO CARE UPDATE
