If you’ve ever experienced the frustration of grabbing a pair of dull scissors and trying to cut fabric, you know how important it is to keep your scissors sharp. Whether you own expensive fabric scissors or a utilitarian pair from the department store, make sure you don’t use them on anything but fabric. Cutting paper or other materials can cause nicks in the metal and dull them very quickly! As a reminder, I use a permanent marker to write “fabric only” on the blade or handle so I don't grab the wrong scissors when working on a project. |
