Dear $$firstname$$

This time of year, I often find myself browsing through the floral department on trips to the grocery store. Although I’m there to buy food for my family, flowers nourish the soul—even if I only stop to look.

A vase of flowers works magic to brighten a cold, winter day. That’s why I was especially interested in the story about orchids that’s appearing in our Feb/Mar issue, which you’ll be receiving soon. I always admired these flowers in other people’s homes, but assumed I didn’t have the patience to give them the proper pampering. Not so!

Although these wonderfully unique blooms have a fussy reputation, our article explains that anyone can grow them, with a little know-how. And, as a bonus for our subscribers, we’ve gathered some additional Orchid Secrets for the green thumbs out there who are already successfully tending orchids.

Also in Plus, you’ll find Free Flower Wallpaper, courtesy of Tammy Anderson who takes amazing close-up flower photos. And if you’re looking for an adventure, be sure to check out our Florida Birding Hot Spots article.

In addition, start getting ready for spring with George Harrison’s Bird Rescues article and the Seven Sensational Annuals list from seasoned landscaper, Russ Hench.

Finally, as you’ll see in the current issue, we’re hoping you’ll help us Choose Our Next Cover for an upcoming spring issue. We have four stunning photos to choose from, and we can’t make up our minds!

Thanks for your vote! Until next time, enjoy the issue!
