Dear $$firstname$$

Here in my hometown, winter arrived about 2 weeks ago, on Thanksgiving Eve. We woke up to a world sugar-coated with glistening snow, which made the sunny drive to turkey dinner all that more enjoyable.

I could also sit back and relax because I’d just finished the last of my fall yard chores the day before. I even managed to plant those few bags of sale-priced spring bulbs I couldn’t resist buying.

Now that I’ve officially tucked in my outdoor garden for the season, I can turn my attention to indoor plants. Our resident “Plant Doctor,” Melinda Myers, has some great plant suggestions to create a Windowsill Garden that will make your home feel like a retreat. And for the bird-watchers out there, we’ve shared our popular Barn Birdhouse Plan so you can start building now in preparation for spring nesters.
