Dear ##firstname[Friend]##,

If one thing is for sure, summer is in full swing! Because of the rising temperatures, it’s important to offer your backyard birds water to keep cool. This crafty birdbath might look difficult and expensive, but it’s quite easy and cheap to make.

Or, if you’re looking for an even simpler project, grab your favorite basin and put together this adorable birdbath that won’t break the bank. No matter which one you choose, the birds will thank you!

From the Expert

George

George Harrison,
Birding Expert

How can I keep bees and ants off my hummingbird feeders?

George: For bees or wasps, hang a bee or wasp trap (containing the same sugar water that are in your feeders to use as bait). That will collect an amazing number of pests. Also try using bee guards. The best way to keep ants away is by hanging a small ant guard above your feeder. This cuplike device is filled with water, creating a moat ants won't cross.
