Can birds smell?
—Ray Gunderson, Minong, Wisconsin
George: All birds have olfactory organs, but only sea birds and vultures have a developed sense of smell, which allows them to locate food by scent. Most birds have an undeveloped sense of smell and locate their food by sight.
