It’s a great time to be a birder! Not only is late summer and early fall prime migration time, but it’s also when a new birding movie, The Big Year, is scheduled to hit movie theaters all over the country! In a nutshell, a Big Year is when birders spend an entire year seeking out as many birds as possible. We were able to interview Director David Frankel about how the movie was adapted from Mark Obmascik’s book of the same name. We hope you’re as excited as we are to see it! Danielle Calkins
